In the heart of the forests of North is the royal city of Treasure. It stretches miles into the sky, its walls forming a perfect circle. The walls of the city, elaborately networked with a maze of stairways within, house thousands of those with royal and noble blood. Passage to this city is easy, and ships between here and the other islands are frequent.
Also within North's forests lies the town of Temple, where magic is taught to humans and inhumans alike. It is composed of rows of buildings, whether shop, school or homestead.
Thick green and golden forests overwhelm the vastly unpopulated island of North. There is little humanoid life here, except perhaps the occasional cottage.
The upper island of West is as well-known for being watery and murky as its lower island is for being dry and hot. This part of West is humid and very rainy and overcast, bogged down with dark swamps and vast rivers.
Seagate is a little town on Upper West's crest, where ships can dock or enter the waterways.
Swamp is the name of a large city built on stilts, which keeps its very old, thatched buildings out of the muddy water that floods it. There are many ancient wooden walkways serving as roads, although few are recommendable. This city is sparsely populated, but those who do live here are eccentric and wise.
The lower island of West is completely composed of a sandy and rocky desert, thick with stone cliffs and sandstorms. The temperatures are scorching and water can rarely be found here, for that any sources of the substance have been claimed by one or another of the fearsome Sandcat tribes.
East is known primarily for being covered in ice and snow. It is vastly uncharted at this point n time, and the rolling ice fields are the only part of the continent accessible by ship. The rest of the island is guarded by fearsome whirlpools and vicious monsters.
Song, which constantly rings with the faint tune of flowing water, is the heart city of Maybe. It is also the oldest city, dating back farther than the history books.
Song is veined with canals, and houses are built straight out of the water. The water is safe to drink, but inhabited by several species of colourful fish and other aquatic life.
An ancient city with a mysterious history, Loom falls in the shadow of the mountains and is built on the widest river in South. It is perpetually shrouded in a thick fog. The air is alight with thousands of tiny fireflies, each one ridden by an even tinier fairy. They, too, call the dusky town home.
By far the smallest town in South, without being considered a village or hamlet, Brotherhood has always stood for fraternal love. Elves and humans live side-by-side here, and the buildings and occupations are almost purely elven.
South is full of rolling hills, separated only by the wide rivers that cut through them. Neat sections of very dark green or white wheat, yellow canola, or violet lifesbrush are abundant, sometimes separated by clusters or rows of trees, fruit orchards, dugouts or pastures; occasionally, as well, there is a farm or hamlet to be seen between the red dirt roads.
